I’ve never kickboxed before, do I need experience to take class?
Nope! Don’t worry one bit, we think it is awesome that you want to start your kickboxing journey! We will teach you everything you need to know to reach your goals.
How do I sign up for my first class?
How old do you have to be to take a class?
Fifteen is our age requirement at this time. In addition, we require that new students under eighteen have a parent or guardian sign a waiver in person prior to their first class.
What do I need to know or bring with me going into my first class?
Just a bottle of water and you! We ask that you arrive 10-15 minutes before the start of your first class to get you signed in, show you around the school, and answer any remaining questions.
What should I wear?
Appropriate workout apparel - For the comfort of our members KickFIT does not allow crop tops or midriff showing shirts. When you are choosing your workout gear, keep in mind that we do use our elbows, knees and kicks on the bags. If you have a question regarding what to wear, please ask a team member.
What is the difference between KickFit and KickFit Express?
KickFIT is our 45 minute workout which will consist of a 12 minute warm-up, 3 minute stretch and 30 minutes on the bag. KickFIT Express is our 35 minute workout, 7 minute warm-up, 3 minute stretch and 25 minutes on the bag. Don’t let the less time fool you, every workout is very different so you'll never know what to expect!
What are hand wraps? Do I need these for my first class?
You will be fine without wrapping your hands for your first class. However, we do recommend you wrap your hands as you progress. Doing so will protect your hands and wrists. It will also collect the sweat and preserve your gloves for a longer period of time. Watch our Youtube video below if you prefer to learn at home, or just ask a team member when you arrive.
