From Main Street to the Mat: KickFIT at Ridgefield SummerFest
KickFIT hit Main Street for Ridgefield SummerFest! From friendly competition at the Punch Challenge to meeting so many members of the community, here’s a look back at an unforgettable day.

Last weekend, KickFIT traded the studio for Main Street and spent the day at Ridgefield SummerFest. What a day!
Coach Lyndsay, Coach Brie and Coach Melissa had an absolute blast meeting so many people from the community, seeing familiar KickFIT faces and, of course, watching everyone step up to take on the KickFIT Punch Challenge.
Ridgefield Took On the Punch Challenge
The challenge was simple: How many punches could you throw before time ran out?
Some people walked up ready to win. Others needed a little convincing from their friends or family. A few had never even put on boxing gloves before. But once the timer started, everyone went for it.
Before long, people were cheering each other on, checking the leaderboard and coming back to see if their score had been beaten. Kids challenged their parents, friends competed against friends and plenty of people surprised themselves with how many punches they could throw.
It was fun, a little competitive and definitely exhausting. Basically, it felt a lot like KickFIT!
You Don’t Need Experience to Get Started
One of the things the team heard throughout the day was, “I’ve never done anything like this before.”
That is something the coaches hear inside the studio all the time too.
Most KickFIT members had never taken a kickboxing class before walking through the doors. You do not need to know how to punch. You do not need to get “in shape” first. You do not even need to feel completely confident about showing up.
That is what the coaches are there for.
KickFIT’s beginner-friendly kickboxing classes are coach-led, fully scalable and designed to meet each person where they are. The coaches teach the movements, help members find the right pace and make sure everyone feels supported from their very first class.
The hardest part is usually walking through the door. Once you get on the mat, the KickFIT team has you.
More Than a Workout
SummerFest was another reminder of why being part of the Ridgefield community means so much to KickFIT.
Yes, KickFIT is a place to work out. But it is also a place where people come to feel stronger, shake off a stressful day, try something new and be surrounded by people who genuinely want to see them succeed.
The same energy felt on Main Street is what the KickFIT team works hard to create in every class. People encouraging one another. Coaches learning your name. High-fives after a tough round. Lots of sweat, plenty of laughs and the feeling that you are part of something.
The team loved seeing current members stop by the booth, reconnecting with past members and finally meeting people who had been following KickFIT from afar.
Thank you to everyone who took a turn at the bag, cheered from the sidelines or simply stopped by to say hello. You made the day so much fun!
KickFIT would also like to thank the Ridgefield Chamber of Commerce and everyone who helped bring SummerFest to life. Events like this are a great reminder of just how special the local community really is.
